Shrishti Arya Flick’s Thorny Glitches; Priyanka Chopra Likely To Quit!

Shrishti Arya, whose production house ‘Rose Movies’ unfortunately also boasts of thorns like ‘Drona’, has come up against a round of cinematic hiccups over the casting of her forthcoming flick, a Hindi remake of the Hollywood winner ‘Bride Wars’ that showcased Anna Hathaway and Kate Hudson as best pals who are at war to get married on the same day at the same venue. The movie, announced with much fanfare by Shristhi in September 2009 is being bogged down by glitches galore.
Initial trouble erupted when Katrina Kaif sashayed out of the project coz’ she didn’t want to share frames with Priyanka Chopra who would have undoubtedly stolen a march over her. Another tragedy struck when director Manish Acharya (‘The Loins Of Punjab’) who was to have helmed the venture fell off a horse in September 2010 and passed away.
The latest salvo to have hit Shrishti is that Priyanka Chopra is highly unlikely to be a part of the flick too!
States a close source, “The film was to have started mid last year. It’s been almost a year now and surely the problem of dates will arise since Priyanka has films such as ‘Don 2,’ ‘Agneepath,’ ‘ Krrish 2’ and ‘Barfee’ already in her kitty to complete.”
A distraught Shrishti told the media, “That film is up in the air as if now. After Archarya passed away, I’ve been trying to get a new director and should be able to lock one in the next two weeks.”
Meanwhile, she’s keeping her fingers (and toes) crossed that her small flick with John Abraham and Chitrangda Singh remains hassle free.
