Salman surprises Manjrekar with ‘Bodyguard’ offer

Salman Khan is known to ask people close to him to do the oddest of things at the oddest hours. It is therefore no surprise to know that he rang up Mahesh Manjrekar recently with an offer that the director-actor couldn’t refuse.
‘You’re in ‘Bodyguard,’ he told Manjrekar, who has been angling to get Salman to listen to his script for a film that he has been meaning to direct with the star in the lead for a year now.
Now Manjrekar has to join the ‘Bodyguard’ team from April 3.
The funniest part of Salman’s film offer is that Manjrekar is clueless about what he’s supposed to play.
‘He hasn’t told me what I play in ‘Bodyguard’. He has just asked me to join the unit. I don’t mind. I never ask him about my role because I know he’s asking me with a good role in mind. I think Salman prefers me to be an actor. He keeps offering me roles in his films. I don’t get a chance to direct him at all,’ said Manjrekar who directed films like ‘Vaastav’ and ‘Astitva’.
Ever since Manjrekar appeared as the main villain in ‘Wanted’, Salman considers Manjrekar as his good luck mascot. Even in ‘Dabangg’, he was cast as Sonakshi Sinha’s father.
For Anees Bazmi’s ‘Ready’ too, Manjrekar was not told what his role was until he arrived on location in Colombo.
‘When I landed there I realised I had a positive role in ‘Ready’. Thank god, I wasn’t playing a lecher. It was becoming tough for my 17-year-old son to explain to his friends why his father was always playing leery characters. Hopefully, in ‘Bodyguard’ too I’ll have a positive role,’ said Manjrekar.

Salman Khan gives second chance to Zarine Khan

Zarine Khan, the Katrina look-alike who went unnoticed after her debut flop ‘Veer’ will make her comeback with an item number in Salman’s Ready.
Remember Zarine Khan? The Katrina Kaif look-alike who made her debut last year alongside Salman Khan in Veer! The film might have come and gone and Zarine Khan might have gone unnoticed. But the actress seems to have got another chance in Bollywood thanks to Salman Khan again.
“The actress is close to Salman Khan and Salman is known to help out his good friends. So he got Zarine an item number in his upcoming film Ready “, says a source. The actress shot this item number with Salman in Bangkok. The song is choreographed by Raju Khan and Mudassar Khan.
Zarine hasn’t done any film after her debut film Veer bombed badly at the box-office. After playing a traditional character in Veer , this item number will have Zarine in a hot-n-happening avatar. And knowing what item numbers have been doing to actresses off late, seems like Zarine might just get a new lease of life.

Stuntman Salman Khan Turns Wingsuit Flier For Ad; Upstages Akshay Kumar’s Daredevilry?

We’re not quite sure whether this is Salman Khan being his ‘Dabangg’ self, or ‘sangat ka asar’ from his latest best bud, Akshay Kumar, but clearly, Sallu has turned into B’town’s latest highflying action star, in Akki’s vein. Salman has literally turned into a highflyer in the commercial of a soft drink brand that he is endorsing, even doing all of the dangerous stunts himself.

Shot by an international crew in the remote mountains of New Zealand, the commercial has been created at a whopping budget of over a million dollars. The ad sees Salman wingsuit flying across treacherous terrains, in keeping with the ‘thrilling’ image of the brand. Wingsuit flying is an adventure sport where one skydives wearing a special ‘winged’ suit that allows one to literally glide through the air before deploying the parachute.

Speaking to a tabloid, one of the unit members from the commercial reported that all the stunts seen were done by Sallubhai himself, making it one of the toughest and most dangerous ads ever done by the actor.

Clearly, with Salman revealing his ‘Dabangg’ daredevil side in the commercial, swashbuckling pal Akshay Kumar may have to give up his ‘action hero’ crown soon…

Salman-Himesh patch up!

Himesh Reshammiya recently met Salman Khan at his residence and patched up all differences they had in the past.

It seems Salman Khan has decided to forgive those who had ruffled feathers with him at some point of time in life. According to an industry source Salman has seemingly patched up with Himesh Reshammiya with whom he had problems till some time back.

Says the source, “Himesh had a meeting with Salman Khan at his Bandra residence where he patched up with Salman and requested him to forget things that had happened in the past”.

It is believed that the singer-turned-actor wanted to patch up with Salman. After several frantic attempts to meet Salman, Salman finally consented and called Himesh at his place. Taking this opportunity, Himesh expressed his desire to give few songs from his label to Salman’s next films. After parting ways with T-Series, Himesh started his own music label for which he has recorded a bank of songs. He is not only agreed to give songs to Salman but also asked Salman to keep the rights with him.

We tried to get in touch with Himesh but he was unavailable for the comment. It can be recalled that Salman helped Himesh at the beginning of his career. Himesh established his music career with films like ‘ Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya ‘, ‘ Hello Brother ‘ and ‘ Tere Naam ‘.

Bollywood hunk Salman Khan and gorgeous actor Katrina Kaif have been voted  the most preferred sex partners. In a survey conducted by a leading condom brand across seven cities in India, men and women in the age group of 18-45 years were asked to answer the question-If you have to engage in casual sex, who would you prefer as a partner.

People named various personalities from different walks of life,but Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif made it to the top. It is noteworthy that Kat and Salman recently split with each other after a long relationship and are not doing any films together.

Katrina Kaif to romance Salman Khan, again

After Tees Maar Khan, the estranged lovers Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan will be seen together again.

Katrina Kaif has bagged two big Yash Raj Films projects opposite the two Khans of Bollywood. She'll be seen romancing Salman Khan in Kabir Khan's film. Also, Katrina will star opposite SRK in Yash Chopra's direction.

It will be interesting to see Salman and Katrina back together given the past they share. The film will be directed by Kabir Khan for Yash Raj Films were last seen together in a Tees Maar Khan song.

"She's in talks with Kabir for the project. It's a performance oriented role in the league of New York," a source told Mid Day.

Her other project with Yash Raj banner is opposite King Khan. SRK- Katrina starrer will be directed by Yash Chopra himself. This will catch much attention, as they have never been paired together.

"The film with Shah Rukh will be a romantic one and will go on floor by the end of this year. The Salman- Kat starrer is an action-thriller-romance," a source told the tabloid.

Earlier, Salman opted out of Chak De! as YRF refused to pay his asking price. However, now they have started paying megabucks to the A-List actors like Aamir Khan for Dhoom 3. Even Salman is getting his asking price this time, reported the tabloid.

"No cast has been locked for either Yashji or Kabir's film. We would request you to wait for our announcement," YRF spokesperson informed the tabloid.
