First look of ‘Shor In The City’ out

After the major success of films like ‘Love, Sex Aur Dhokha’ and ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, Ekta Kapoor is ready with her next venture ‘Shor In the City’, a dark comedy.
The first look of the film, which stars Tusshar Kapoor, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Preeti Desai, Radhika Apte, Pitabosh and Nikhil Diwedi is out now.
The first poster has a teal-coloured background with scratch effects and a graphic representation of the film’s characters. The depiction of Mumbai’s skyline in the poster is meant to indicate that the city plays a major role in the film.
The film has been helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. and is slated to hit the screens April 28

Singer Lady Gaga says her hair is falling due to excessive use of dyes.
The 24-year-old star, who has become a style icon with her outrageous outfits, has spent years dyeing her brunette locks blonde and now says she has to ‘get a chemical haircut because my blonde hair is falling out,’ reports the sun.co.uk.
Gaga had previously revealed that she goes to bed wearing make-up every night.
‘That’s not good for your skin, but I’m blessed with good genes,’ she said.

Comedian Vadivelu to campaign for DMK

Comedian Vadivelu met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi today and pledged his support for DMK in the upcoming Tamil Nadu State Legislative Elections. The actor, after announcing his decision in the presence of the Chief Minister, also assured that he would travel around Tamil Nadu to campaign for DMK candidates. Kollywood sources reveal the move was to step up pressure against Vijayakanth, who is in the opposition alliance and also on bitter terms with Vadivelu. Two years ago, Vadivelu had filed a police complaint against Vijayakanth after a group of men, alleged to be associated with Vijayakanth, attacked Vadivelu’s house. The feud has its roots in 2007, when Vadivelu clashed with Vijayakanth’s men over a parking issue.

After ‘Munni’, ‘Sheila’, Bollywood gets ‘Jalebi bai’

Following the success of item numbers like ‘Munni badnaam’ and ‘Sheila ki jawaani’, Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat will now be seen in a sizzling song titled ‘Jalebi bai’ in comedy movie ‘Double Dhamaal’.
Mallika, famous for her sultry moves in ‘Maiya maiya’, recently finished shooting for her new item number, in which she sports a sexy, crystal-studded bustier and a low waist, maroon-coloured brocade lehenga.
The four-day schedule of the song was shot at Mehboob Studios, where a lavish set of a casino was created to give the song the right look and feel, said a source.
The song has been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and the music has been composed by Anand Raj Anand.
‘Double Dhamaal’, a sequel to the 2007 comic riot ‘Dhamaal’, is slated for release this June.
The movie is being produced by Reliance BIG Entertainment and Maruti International, and is directed by Inder Kumar.

Terence Lewis creates Guinness World Record

Indian choreographer Terence Lewis broke a Guinness World Record by making 1,336 people dance in unison. The feat was accomplished through Colors’ reality show ‘Guinness World Record - Ab India Todega’.
The record was broken Saturday at St. Teresa High School, said a source.
The participants were invited through a free of cost registration process, and received a quick one-hour lesson from Terence.
Rob Molly, the designated official from the Guinness World Record, declared the effort as successful.
Terence’s challenge was to break the recent Guinness record of choreographing over 1,235 people, set in Australia.
Actor Shabbir Ahluwalia, who co-hosts ‘Guinness World Record - Ab India Todega’ with Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, was also present to pep up the participants as they danced to the popular song ‘Jhoom barabar jhoom’.
Terence, 35, has been working in the Indian film industry since long, but received fame when he took on the role of a mentor and judge in Zee TV’s ‘Dance India Dance’.
Later, he was a participant on ‘Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi 3’, and was recently seen as a judge on ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom: Team Challenge’.

Sharman Joshi replaces ‘Fido Dido’ as 7UP brand ambassador

Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi has replaced the cartoon character of Fido Dido as the face of PepsiCo’s aerated drink 7UP.
Sharman has been signed up for two years, and sources said he has been paid Rs.5 crore for the endorsement deal.
The campaign for the drink, ‘Gussa Hatao, Chill Machao’, involves two television commercials and will focus on simple issues of anger management.
Sharman said he was excited about the commercials, which will be aired by the end of March.
‘I have always enjoyed drinking 7UP, hence I believe this endorsement was meant to be. I am glad to be a part of this interesting and exciting campaign, which delivers a message I personally believe in, as anger leads to nothing but regret,’ Sharman said in a press statement.
The actor, who has featured in films like ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Life...In A Metro’, ‘Sorry Bhai’, ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Toh Baat Pakki’, also admits he was quite upbeat about the campaign as he was getting to shoot with his ‘3 Idiots’ director Rajkumar Hirani.
A PepsiCo spokesperson says Sharman has been roped in for his calm attitude.
‘Sharman, with his calm, unruffled and extremely affable personality, is a perfect match to highlight the brand’s positioning of a cool, refreshing drink,’ said Alpana Titus, category marketing director (flavoured carbonated drinks), PepsiCo India Beverages.
Sharman’s forthcoming projects include ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ with Deepika Padukone, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Shirish Kunder to cast newcomers in dance-based film

Film editor-turned-director Shirish Kunder is all set to give a chance to new and budding talent in his new film.
‘The dance film I am currently writing and will be directing soon, will completely have an all new cast,’ Kunder wrote on microblogging site Twitter.
Kunder, who is marrried to ace choreographer Farah Khan, further said he would be conducting auditions for his film all over the world.
‘This dance film will be a breakthrough in many ways. Super excited about this. The entire cast will be intensively auditioned all over the world and chosen,’ he posted.
Meanwhile, Kunder is busy with the shooting of ‘Joker’, which stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead along with Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba.

Kashmera Shah in item number for NRI’s film

Bollywood actor Kashmera Shah, who has been in the news for her topless calendar shoot recently, has shot for an item number for NRI filmmaker Manan Singh Katohara’s ‘9 Eleven’, touted as the first Hindi film shot entirely in Washington.
Kashmera, who is seen more on the small screen than in movies these days, will be shaking a leg in a song called ‘Let’s do chummaalingan’.
The item song is composed by Jatin Pandit, who earlier worked on films like ‘Khiladi’, ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander’ and ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’. The lyrics have been penned by Sanjay Chhel.
‘9 Eleven’ is made under the banner of Amar Durga Films & JMD Creations. The film portrays the life of 10 people from different walks of life thrown together in an unfamiliar place and terrorised by an unknown entity.
