In Bolton Police battle occered to control EDL and UAF protest:




Police are trying to contain thousands of demonstrators from the English Defense League and Unite Against Fascism at a protest in Bolton.

More than 1,500 UAF and also 2,000 EDL supporters are in Victoria Square and a large number of people have been injured.

Police said at least 50 people have been arrested, including the UAF protest organiser on suspicion of conspiracy to commit violent disorder.

A 16 years old girl, who had nothing to do with the protests,is being treated after she suffered a panic attack.

Two members of the UAF have also been taken to hospital with a minor head and a minor ear injury and smoke bombs have been set off.
